INMAN, Doris I. – of Flint, age 100, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Medilodge of Montrose. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Calvary Community Church. 1201 W. 12th Street in Flint. Pastor Sarah LaRose Nettell officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Tuesday from 2PM until 8PM and at the church on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary Community Church.
Doris was born January 22, 1916 in Hale, Michigan to the late Thomas and Mary (Barber) Rowbottom. She graduated from Northern High School and attended Mott College for Nurse's Aide training. Doris married Ralph A. Inman January 3, 1937 in Flint. He preceded her in death June 8, 1975. She was employed with Hurley Hospital for 9 years as a Nurse's Aide and also did home health care. Doris loved attending church and was the oldest surviving member of Calvary Community Church, she was a member for over 60 years. She enjoyed reading, music, dancing, working in her yard and playing cards, especially pinochle.
Surviving are: Children: Carol Metevier of Mt. Morris, Mary Kennedy of Gladwin, Ralph Jr. (Diane) Inman of Gaylord, Darlene (Rod) Westphal of Clio, Linda Raleigh of Millington and Michael (Christina) Inman of Hale; Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Doris was also preceded in death by her twin daughter, Marlene Walker; Grandsons: Eric Inman and Herb Metevier Jr.; Sons in law: Herb Metevier, Ray Raleigh and Bob Kennedy; Daughter in law, Sherry Inman; Sister, Mildred and Brother, John.
