FOWLER, Elvin J. – of Clio, age 63, died on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc. A Celebration of Elvin’s Life will be held at 1PM Monday, February 10, 2020 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Tina Lucas officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park with Military Honors. The Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 11AM until 6PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Elvin was born October 6, 1956 in Flint, Michigan, to the late David E.J. and Betty Jane (Brogan) Fowler. He grew up in Clio and attended Clio High School. Elvin married Vicki Root on June 24, 2000 in Clio. He worked as a rural route mailman for the USPS for 32 years. Elvin was known as “Fostoria’s most beloved postman” by many. He enjoyed hunting deer, small game and pheasant and often hunted in the Fostoria area. Elvin also enjoyed traveling to and through the U.P. He loved fishing, especially the Aa Sable river. Elvin was a loving man and loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Surviving are: Wife, Vicki Fowler; Children: Tonya (Jeremy) Meadows of College Grove, TN., Johnny Fowler of Florida, Christina (Joe) Werden of Mt. Morris, Pamela (C.J.) Decker of Clio, David Fowler (Brea Wilhite) of White Water, Wisconsin, and Jessica Fowler (James Laird); 9 grandchildren: Alyssa Huggard, Connor Meadows, Gavin Meadows, Hailey Purdue, Serena Fowler, Lorena Laird, Serenity Riley, Kyleigh Decker, and Cameron Decker; Sister, Dava (Dennis) Matthews, and Tonna Poston; He was preceded in death by: Sister, Davelene Fowler; Brothers: David E.J.
