HERRINGTON, Michael B. – age 65, passed away August 28, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Otisville; Pastor Alan Duce officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 12-2 and 4-8 PM Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richfield Church of the Nazarene or Feed My Starving Children.
Michael was born in Flint, MI on September 4, 1953 son of the late Bruce and Marilyn (Williams) Herrington. He married Roxanne Goyette on June 24, 1977 and she preceded him in death on February 15, 2019 after 41 years of marriage. Mike was an active member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene and was involved in various church groups. He participated in the Wednesday night men’s group, was a committee member of Feed My Starving Children, and coached the UPWARD boys basketball team. He loved to hunt, fish, watch birds and do yardwork. He was very proud of his family and Mike’s greatest joy was his grandchildren. He was a very hard working and devoted employee at Genesys before retiring in October of 2013.
Mike is survived by his children, Rachel Burk and Luke (Rachel) Herrington; grandchildren, Drew Michael Burk, Alexis Cordia Burk and Adele Marilyn Herrington; siblings, Larry (DeeDee) Herrington, Vicki (Gerald) Gyorkos and John (April) Herrington.
