TIBBETTS, FREDERICK WILLIAM “Ted” age 78, died Saturday, June 8, 2019 at home with his family. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, MI 48433. Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Ted was born February 2, 1941 in Flint, MI the son of Russell and Ruth (Sinn) Tibbetts. Ted proudly served in the U.S. Army with one tour of duty in Vietnam. He married the love of his life Carole Barron on June 10, 1967 . Ted worked for General Motors for 30 years retiring in 1990. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading books but most of all he enjoyed time with his family, playing games, teasing the grandchildren and sitting by the campfire at the cabin. Surviving are wife of 51 years Carole, children; Joseph (Rebecca) Tibbetts of Davison, Thomas (Susan) Tibbetts of Flushing, Julie (Troy) Miller of Clio, Andrea (Michael) Johnson of Pellston, grandchildren; Bryna, Adam, Megan, Emily, Keon, Christina, Randi and Cody, brothers; David (Kathleen) Tibbetts of Flushing, Phillip Tibbetts of Perry and many nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; John, Patrick, James and sister Barbara Burns. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Area 13 Special Olympics (envelopes will be available at the funeral home).
