CADD, RICHARD “DICK” – Of Flint, age 82, died Thursday, October 29, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Deacon Omar Odette officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Richard was born in Flint, Michigan on February 4, 1938, the son of the late Lowell and Mae Cadd.
On July 30, 1960 he married Cathie Short.
He was a member of the Lions Club; Boy Scout Leader in Rankin and a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council.
Richard enjoyed mowing his lawn, yard work and tinkering.
Mr. Cadd was employed by GM Grand Blanc Tank Plant for over 35 years, retiring in 1992.
Surviving are his wife, Cathie;
3 children, Tina Cadd, Richard Lowell Cadd and Cherie (Ed) Cuttill;
3 grandchildren, Charisse (Damon) Ballard, Erick Burnash and Adreanna Burnash;
3 sisters, Lynn Main, Penny (Jack) Lintz and Roxanne (Bruce) MacIntosh;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Liz; uncle, Fred LaFleur and niece, Renee.
