ELLIOTT, David L. – of Flint, age 72, passed away November 27, 2012 at McLaren-Flint. A Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Jason Crum officiating. Cremation will take place after the service. Visitations will be 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
David was born in Cheboygan, MI on June 30, 1940, son of the late Robert and Audrey (Holt) Elliott. He married Kristine Clough on July 1, 1967. David was a member of UAW Local #651. He was an announcer for youth hockey games at the Flint Iceland Arena and a season ticket holder for the Flint Generals for many years. David retired from GM in 1999 where he was a Job Setter and Committee Man. He was also employed at IMA Brookwood as a Ranger for 32 years.
David is survived by his wife, Kristine; daughter, Lisa Crannie; son, Kevin Elliott; grandchildren, Johnny, Nolan and Kaitlyn Crannie; siblings, Beverly (Marvin) Hall, R.D. (Gerri) Elliott, Dick (Pam) Elliott and Gloria (Frank) Ward; many nieces and nephews; special friends, John Crannie, Roger, Bruce and Kenny. David’s family gives a special thank you to the staff of McLaren and Specialty Select Hospital.
