Little, Michael W. – of Genesee, age 57, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. A Masonic memorial service will precede the funeral. Pastor Ron Shamel officiating. Private burial Monday in Meadowview Memorial Gardens in Davison. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 5-9 PM, Saturday from 12-9 PM and Sunday from 12 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Mike was born May 26, 1957 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Kyle and Betty (Allen) Little. He had resided in Genesee Township all of his life. Mike graduated from Genesee High School and Baker College. He married Laurie Collard on May 26, 1984. He retired from Fisher Body Coldwater and Buick Motor Division in Skilled Trades, where he served as committee man for UAW Local 599. He was also formerly employed by Lowes and was currently employed by Nexteer. Mike was also a member and past worshipful master of the Genesee Lodge #517 F & AM. He was also a former reserve police officer for the City of Mt. Morris. Mike belonged to the Secord Lake Eagles. He coached his sons ice hockey teams in Birch Run, worked chains at Genesee football games and was a former cub scout leader. He was also a huge John Wayne fan and enjoyed old western movies and camping with his family. Surviving are: Wife, Laurie; 3 children: Shane (Meghan) Little of Grand Blanc, Alan Little of CT. and Joel Little and fiancé, Amanda, of Davison. Grandson, Wyatt and Granddaughter, Sutton; 2 sisters: Deborah Goulette, Kylene (Mike) Becker, Donald (Vicki) Little and Gregory (Linda) Little. Mother in law, Delores Carlson; Father in law, Lynn (Gayla) Collard; Sisters in law, Lynda (Troy) Clark, Lisa Nugent (Bill) Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Special friends: Joe, Judy Jessica Wilkes and Brandon; Mike was also preceded in death by his sister, Christine; Nephew, Michael J; Brother in law, Bob and father in law, Julius "Whitey" Carlson.
