STARK, Donald Alexander – of Hale, MI formerly of Grand Blanc, age 76, passed away November 6, 2014 in Hale. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Visitation will be 1-2 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Advantage of West Branch or Fish Charity Shop in Hale.
Donald was born in Flint, MI on February 4, 1938, son of the late Alexander and Geraldine (VanLandeghem) Stark. He married Doris Morgan in Flint, MI on December 13, 1957. Donald proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1957-1959. He was a member of the Avion Campers Group, IOF, Atherton Athletic Boosters and the Hale Eagles. Donald loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating and camping.
Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doris; children, Madonna (Jeff) Bennett, Joie (Doug) Hitchcock, Kristi (Brent) Garrett; grandchildren, Alexis (Mark) Liley, Matthew Prusac, Trent (Shauna) Stark, Taylor (Nick) James, Morgan Hitchcock, Adam, Luke and Sara McMurray, Chloe (Joe) Garcia; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeri (Bob) Dickinson of Eugene, Oregon, Sally Felts of Gaines, MI; special cousin, Kathy Stark. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Stark. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Roger Black and Staff and Hospice Advantage of West Branch.
