BEAIRD, Edward "Bud" -- Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died September 30, 2018. A Masonic Service under the auspices of Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge #458 will be held at 4 PM Thursday October 4 followed by the funeral service at 5PM at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel. Our temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek (Mundy Township). Pastor Josh Bates officiating. Visitation will be 1PM until time of services Thursday at Hill Creek Church.
Bud was born December 17, 1932 in Arbyrd, Missouri the son of Cecil E. and Verble Lee ( Parnell) Beaird. He married Lervine D. Leiss in Flint on November 27, 1954 she preceded him in death on February 1, 2017. Bud was a Veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean war as a combat Sergeant. He was employed at GM as a Die Maker. He was a member of the Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge #458. He enjoyed playing the guitar, and making knifes. Ed loved John Deer Tractors and Gardening.
He is survived by his children, John ( Arlene) Beaird, Don Beaird (Karin), Polly Beaird; grand children, Rachel, Brian, Jacob, Pauline, Danielle, Amanda; 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lervine; brother, Leo; sister, Judy. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
