Fritzler, Kay Lorraine- of Grand Blanc, MI, age 72, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 peacefully at home after a long battle with lung cancer.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Central Church of the Nazarene, G-1261 West Bristol Road, Flint. Pastor Jon Gildner officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation is 11 am-2 pm and 4-8 pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Fritzler will be at the church from 10 am Saturday until the time of the service.
Kay was born in Flint, Michigan on May 7, 1947, the daughter of Robert and Virginia Wiswosser. Kay graduated from Flint Central High School in 1965 and went on to pursue a career in bookkeeping, working many years at Foodlane, Bosley’s, Hyatt Regency hotel and the University of Michigan- Flint. She enjoyed traveling with friends, bowling tournaments, playing cards with family and friends, reading, and spending quality time with her grandkids while spoiling them rotten. She was a 30 year member of the American Business Women’s Association, Candle-Glo Chapter where she held numerous positions including President and Treasurer as well as earning the title of “Woman of the Year”. Upon retirement, she enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida and made many life-long friendships while living in The Knoll. She also became a member of the Red Hatters Society and enjoyed participating in many of their social outings.
Surviving are: husband, John of 44 years; children Amy Lopez (Rudy); Michael (Violet); and Brian (Renee) and grandchildren: Kaleigh Goings (Courtney); Cassie, Jeffrey, Amanda, Joslyn Lopez & Colton Lopez, Tahya Eilber, sister Lynn Hammerberg (Wiswosser) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Robert and Virginia Wiswosser; brothers, Richard (Dick), Charles (Chuck) and Paul Wiswosser and her nephew Sean Morley.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kay’s name to the American Cancer Society.
