COX, Rickey – Of Flint, age 67, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center.
Memorial service will be held at 12Noon Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, J. W. Cox, his brother, officiating. Visitation 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
Rickey was born in Corning, Arkansas on January 16, 1950. He retired from GM Truck & Bus. Rickey was a huge fan of sports; especially the St. Louis Cardinals. “Trickey Rickey” enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his children, Angelina Cox (Paul Simpson), Stacy (Tyler) Yerby and DeAnna (Jake) Heyza; grandchildren, Paul, Jr., Jewelian, Eleanor, Lincoln and Jack. He is also survived by his siblings, J.W. Cox, Jean Wilcenski and Helen Zalowski; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Hattie; 2 brothers, Cleo and Leo; and sister, Millie.
