MOORING, Peggy L. (Tuggle) – of Flint, MI, formerly of Arkansas, age 89, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. A Committal Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442. The family will receive visitors 3-8 PM Friday, January 10, 2020 and 12-1 PM Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home.
Peggy was born in Pangburn, Arkansas on August 5, 1930, daughter of the late Cleveland Tuggle and Luzelle (Hughen) Bennett. She married Sam D. Mooring on May 29, 1948 and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2011.
Peggy is survived by 6 children, Bobbie (Bob) Stafford, Sam (Jackie) Mooring, Jr., Jeannie (Dave) Taylor, Jack (Nancy) Mooring, Susie (Dave) Mitchell and Jerry Mooring; 14 grandchildren, Cindy, Scott, Lonnie, Jennifer, Lisa, Michael, Vickie, Tracy, Mark, Julie, John, Rebecca, Mindy and Ashley; 25 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Cleveland Tuggle; mother, Luzelle (Gene) Bennett and her husband of 62 years, Sam D. Mooring, Sr.
