Gerald Eugene Westall age 94, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Woodland Hospice House, Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI, on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Tom Whitesel officiating. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. and on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 11-2 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI.
Gerald was born in Breckenridge, MI on October 24, 1922, the son of Jessie Townsend and Edna (Chenoweth) Westall. Gerald graduated from Breckenridge High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. On February 3, 1945 Gerald married Elsie J. Zimmerman in Ithaca, MI. Elsie predeceased him on November 16, 2016. Gerald was a farmer and was a Pioneer Seed Corn Representative. He also worked winters for Pitcher Brothers Construction. He was a member of the Ithaca Church of God.
He is survived by his 3 daughters; Vicki and Monty Wood, Sheila and Gordon "Tuff" Rummer, Brenda and Michael Carson, 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, 1 granddaughter Kaelyn Carson, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
