MCCREADY, Robert L. “Bob” - Of Grand Blanc, age 84, died Saturday, October 5, 2019 at his residence.
Visitation 1-8pm Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A private funeral service will be held Saturday.
Pastor Jacob Salem officiating.
Robert was born in Flint on January 9, 1935, the son of the late Ben and Sophie (Wajtyna) McCready. On April 10, 1953, he married Ruth M. Voakes. Bob owned and operated a used car lot for many years. He was also a self-taught musician, playing guitar, drums and bass, and he played in many different bands.
Surviving are wife, Ruth;
children, Bob Jr. McCready, Debbie Marshall, and Vicky (Lou) Muckenthaler;
grandchildren, Josh Gould, Kelly (Dave) Genzlinger, Tiffany Wilson, Melanie McCready and Brittany Marshall;
great-grandchildren, Samantha Skinner, Ashley Genzlinger, Alexis Skinner, Dylan Genzlinger, Jack Genzlinger and Kennedy Ayres.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ben McCready.
