SULLENGER, Donna Jean (Stevens) - Of Grand Blanc, age 81, died Friday, May 4, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Minister Jeff Switzer officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Michigan Christian Youth Camp or Utah Humane Society.
Visitation 4-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Donna was born in Flint on November 9, 1936. On January 17, 1959, she married Ron Sullenger. She was a graduate of Hurley School of Nursing, Class of 1958. Donna was employed as a Registered Nurse at Hurley and McLaren Hospitals. She was the camp nurse at MCYC for 20 years. Donna was a member of TOPS since 1973. She was a member of Bristol Road Church of Christ and was the “Happy Birthday” Loveline Lady at the church for over 25 years. Donna loved to read and especially loved her monthly book club with her Sisters-n-Stories.
Surviving are husband, Ron;
daughter, Rhonda and husband Keith Laurin of Flushing;
son, Phil and wife Rosemarie of Grand Blanc;
4 grandchildren, Anjela, Nicole, Andrew and Charlotte (Francesco)Rocchio;
grand Godson, Torrey Robinson;
sister, Joan Layman of Davison;
brother, Robert and wife Bette Stevens of Missouri;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Sophia Stevens.
