Jennine Lynn Barrett went to line dance with the universe on June 25th, 2024. She was 73, and it was too soon.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Robert Royer officiating.
Burial will follow at 2:00pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation also from 11:00am on Monday until the time of service.
Jennine was born in Flint, MI on May 7, 1951 to John and Juanita (Harvey) Pauley. She married the love of her life, AC Barrett, on July 6th, 1969 in the home of her aunt Elsie. They made their home in Burton, MI where they bought a house and added to their family by having 2 daughters. Jennine rejoiced in being a mother and was a calm, involved and loving parent. Throughout her life Jennine held many positions, eventually settling in at Thrifty Drug store working as a pharmacy technician. After her retirement she became active in her community through local senior centers and even became the secretary at Carman Ainsworth Senior Center. Jennine loved fiercely and loyally and was loved in return by those who knew her. She enjoyed line dancing with her ladies, playing cards at the senior center and gathering for dinner with her friends from high school. Her absolute favorite thing to do, though, was to swim in her backyard pool surrounded by her family, particularly her grandchildren, Gabrielle, Khloe, James, Darren, Andrew, Samuel and William.
Surviving are her husband, AC, her daughters Shelby (Tanya), Krystal (Robert), her sister, Julie (Bob), brothers John (Deb), Jim (Becky) and her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her mother, Juanita and sister Jennell. Jennine Lynn. Wife, sister, mother, grandmother.
There will always be a beach towel for you on the railing of our hearts to wrap your memory and keep it warm and safe.
