Lockridge, Mrs. Mona G. “First Lady” age-57 passed away Tuesday January 17, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 11am Saturday January 28, 2017 from the Antioch M.B. Church 1083 E. Stewart Ave. Rev. Donald Alston officiating, Rev. Lewis Randolph Host Pastor. Family and friends will assemble at the church 10:30am for visitation. Mrs. Lockridge now repose in the Chapel of the Martin J. Banks Funeral Home, Inc. and maybe viewed until 6pm Friday.
Mrs. Mona Gail Lockridge was born January 13, 1960 in Flint, Mi. the daughter of Mildred and James Brown. She graduated from Flint Southwestern High School Class of ”78”and attended Mott Community College, General Studies. Mona was a homemaker who loved being a mother to her wonderful children and gardening with her sister-in-law Ruby Moore and she also loved dressing up in nice clothes and jewelry (she loved her diamonds).
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband Ray Lockridge, Sr., 3 daughters, Shayla, Rachel and Alicia, 3 sons, Samuel, Victor and Ray, Jr. 11 grandchildren, Sunny, Samaya, Iziah, Kali, Laveon, Taveon, Alexis, Julius, Harmony, Imone and Ny’Asia parents, Mildred and James Brown, 6 sisters Adrin Latham, Wanda Harris of Alabama, Phyllis Latham, Maria Cotton, Gwendolyn ( Gregory ) Dunlap and Jacqueline Brown, brother Erich Latham of Flint. Mother-in-law Erma Bullock, sister-in-law Linda Lockridge, brothers-in-law Paul, Larry, Grass Lockridge.
A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends including special friends Ruby Moore and family, Pricilla Woodley, Ms. Flowers, Meon Perry, Christy Mayes and family. She was preceded in death by son Isiah Toins, granddaughter Amari Lockridge,father James Brown and 1st niece Erica Latham.The family would like to express special thanks to: Genesys-Hurley Cancer Institute, Hurley Medical Center and Heartland Hospice/staff.
