Ms. Mageela Lynette Matthews was born March 20, 1979 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Raymond and Minnie Matthews. Mageela lived in Flint for the majority of her life where she attended Flint Community Schools, graduating from Mott Middle College.
Mageela was highly intelligent and liked reading, cooking and simply enjoyed life with a great sense of humor. She was also excellent with computers.
Mageela leaves to cherish her memory: mother Minnie Matthews, sisters Minna, Jasamine Matthews and Crystal Bowman, brothers Raymond, Rondale and Rory Matthews, Lavelle Coles and Matthews Bowman, grandmothers, Josephine Lawrence and Georgia Mae Matthews.
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends including special friends, The Laury Family, Chante Desmukes, Loneisha Rainey and Shavonna Larry, aunt Melinda Ampy who Mageela and Minna grew up with like sisters and special cousin, Sharonda Brewton.
Mageela was preceded in death by her father Raymond Matthews, grandfathers, Enoch Matthews and Clark Lawrence, Jr., great grandparents, uncles Enoch Matthews, Sr., Ricky Matthews, Ernest Matthews and Allen Matthews and aunt Wanda Miller.
The family would like to express special thanks to Mr. Terrence Ellis and everyone who made donations of any kind, big or small and Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart.
