BLESHENSKI, Theodore Anthony - On July 3rd, the world lost one of its finest treasures. At that time, Theodore Anthony Bleshenski, age 72, of Fenton Michigan passed away. Funeral services will be held 4PM Monday, July 7 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held from 3PM until the time of service Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet (Fenton). He is survived by his wife Patricia Nowlin Bleshenski and his daughters, April Bleshenski Tyler and Andrea Bleshenski Kotoske. Ted’s life began in Coldwater Michigan. There, he was raised by Marie Kanac, as well as Alec and Mary Bleshenski. He worked hard on the farm but found time to be a football star on the Coldwater High School football team as well as Ainsworth High School in Flint Michigan. There he met his eventual wife, Patricia Nowlin. They shared a love affair that spanned 52 years of marriage with much love and success. During these years, Ted began his employment at General Motors. He started as an apprentice and finished his career as the superintendent of master mechanics. His coworker said "there was not a job or a problem that he couldn't fix, he was a master". He was often described as honest, loyal, and extremely humble. He was a very selfless man, always sharing his gifts with others before ever considering himself. Ted was not only a great boss but a very caring and loving father. During the early years of their marriage Pat gave birth to April (1962) then Andrea (1964). Family time was important to Ted and horse showing with the girls took precedence. When not in the show ring with the family he could be found having a wonderful steak barbecue with all the trimmings or floating around Lake Fenton catching some sun. A dozen oysters on the half shell were always a favorite for Teddy. It was not uncommon for people passing to stop by and share in the good times as Ted’s door was always open. Pat and Ted were friends to all. As life progressed and retirement came his family began to expand. Andrea and her husband Dr. Thomas Kotoske had settled in Paradise Valley Arizona. They had two boys, Ted’s grandsons Zachary and Hunter who provided countless memories on the athletic fields and in the classroom for Ted to enjoy. This along with his love for the Detroit Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings kept him busy. His love for his girls April, a physician in Fenton Michigan and Andrea, a mother and Advertising Specialist provided him with overwhelming pride and joy. But most of all, his love and support of his wife Pat and dog Levi provided him with the complete life. We thank God for the time that he had on this planet. He will always be missed.
