ROSS, H. Paul, Evangelist – of Clio, age 86, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. High Priest Tom Banks and Elder Cindy Dewar officiating. Cremation to follow. Inurnment, with military honors, will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-8PM and Sunday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Contributions may be made to Community of Christ Church in Clio or the charity of one's choice.
Paul was born on March 3, 1929 in Caseville, Michigan to the late John Francis and Lydia Bell (Sweet) Ross. He married Carol Gotham and they enjoyed 62 years together. Mr. Ross is a U.S. Army 11th Airborne Veteran. He worked at Hall Steel for over 30 years before retiring in 1983. Paul was ordained into priesthood at the age of 23. He was a member of Community of Christ Church in Clio. Paul enjoyed spending time at his cabin, fishing and hunting. He was a very active Evangelist and enjoyed spending time with his church family. Above all, Paul was a family man and loved being with his family.
Surviving are: Wife, Carol Ross of Clio; Son, Paul R. (Zia) Ross of Clio; 1 granddaughter: Angela Ross (Christopher) Larner of Lennon; 5 great-grandchildren: Casey, Emma and Jeffrey Larner, Jarrod and Alexis Edwards; Brothers: Larry (Judy) Ross and Frank Ross; Sisters: Erdene Saylor, Leota (Jack) Gillespie, Wiletta Ferguson (Lowell) and Cathey (Leroy) Emers; Many cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
