BROWN, John Thomas Sr. – of Clio, age 81, died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at McLaren of Flint. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time. In memory of John, contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries.
John was born November 19, 1934 in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Richard and Maude (Smith) Brown. He married Dorothy Ann Havener on October 23, 1954. She preceded him in death May 1, 1983. John was a GM retiree. He was very involved in the Clio area and city functions. John enjoyed golfing and softball.
Surviving are: Children: Irene Dollins of Montrose, John Jr. “Tom” (Joy) Brown of Clio, Kevin (Amy) Brown of Flint and Brenda (Bill) Caskey of Montrose; 5 grandchildren: Krista, Ryan, Tyler, Jared and Alexis; 3 great grandchildren: Bradley, Faith and Kayla; 4 Brothers: Jake, Dave, Wayne and Bob; 2 sisters: Alice and Dolly.
