MILLETTE, Loren R. of Clio, age 85, died Thursday, March 31, 2011. Funeral services will be 4 PM Sunday, April 3, 2011at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Rev. Bob Leming officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 11 AM until time of services at 4 PM. Contributions may be made to Humane Society of Genesee County or the American Lung Association.
Loren was born February 15, 1926 in Menominee, MI to the late Raymond and Arlene (Maas) Millette. Loren served in the Air Corp during WW II. He was a graduate of Michigan State University. He resided in Clio since 1976. He married Marcella Engel in 1950. Mr. Millette retired from Dow Chemical with 23 years seniority. He owned the Vienna Greens Golf Course. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, golfing and visiting with family and friends.
Surviving are: wife, Marcella; 2 daughters, Mary Key of Clio, Teresa (Duane) Casselman of Clio; 3 grandchildren, Lindy (Jason) Murphy, Michael (Keri) Arnold Jr. and Joshua Arnold; 3 great-grandchildren, Dylan Murphy, Taryn Murphy and Michael Arnold III.
