STOPKA, JoAnn J. (Folaron)- Of Columbiaville, formerly of Linden, age 80, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 212 Center, Otisville, Michigan, 48463.
Reverend Monsignor Richard J. Groshek officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 12-8pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
A Rosary will be prayed by the Davison Knights of Columbus Council #4090 at 7pm Monday at the funeral home.
JoAnn will be at the church 10am Tuesday until the time of the Mass.
JoAnn was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 14, 1935, the daughter of the late John and Sarah Folaron. JoAnn married John Stopka on September 7, 1957.
Surviving are husband, John;
children, David (Lisa), Danette (Greg) Bancroft, Donna (Jack) Hedrick and Daniel (Elizabeth);
grandchildren, Sarah, Stephanie (Mychal), Catherine, Jestin, Jessica, Nicole (Dan), Kayla and Carson;
great-grandchildren, Ivan, Sawyer and Avery;
sister, Rita Promenchenkel;
very special friend, Sister Mary Schwartz from the Order of St. Joseph of Nazareth, Michigan;
and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
JoAnn was preceded in death by sister Josephine and brother Frank.
