Caroline Seibel-Striler of Davison age 81, died Thursday December 14, 2017 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday December 18, 2017 at Hansen Funeral home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Todd I. Frusti officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm Monday at Columbia Township Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 3-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Caroline was born in Unionville Michigan on September 9, 1936 the daughter of the late Arthur & Pauline (Arps) Strieter, and has resided in the Davison since 1972.She was joined in marriage to Volen Striler and they resided in the Swartz Creek area for many years. She was a member of the VFW Post 4087 Color Guard Aux. and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Caroline was employed by General Motors AC Spark Plug Division until her retirement in 1998.She leaves her husband Volen, and her children: John Seibel, Arlene Guffey, Gordon Seibel, and Allen Seibel. She also leaves grandchildren: Austin, Hayley, Emily, Stacey (James), Michael, Nicholas, Amanda (Tyler), Jacob and great grandchildren Gaven, and Ava. Her surviving siblings: brother Paul & Diane Strieter, sisters Frances & Melvin Balzer, and Pauline Scharich. She is preceded in death by daughter-in-law Veronica Seibel, granddaughter Janelle, brother Arnold Strieter, sisters Betty Balzer, and Velma Pluto.
