BARKER, Nancy - Of Flint, age 78, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, February 7, 2018.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Arrowhead Veterans Club, 402 West Water Street, Flint, MI 48503.
Visitation 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Nancy was born on October 10, 1939, to Mary and Arly Pickett of Westland, Michigan.
She married Patrick Barker on November 22, 1957, while he was in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Nancy enjoyed her time at Arrowhead Veterans Club playing Euchre, where she and her late husband Pat Barker enjoyed their many years there together and also as officers of the club.
She was a Hostess for the Kewadin Sioux St. Marie Casino Travel Company.
Nancy is survived by son, Kevin (Vicki) Barker;
brothers, David (Kristy) Pickett. Mike Pickett and Jim (Fran) Pickett;
granddaughter, Christina (Ted) Bommarito;
great-grandchildren, Geena Bommarito, Austin Bommarito and Tyler Barker;
sister-in-law, Rosemarie Barker Derr;
many nieces, nephews and great-nephew, Holland Pickett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Barker; son, Billy Barker and grandson, Brooks Barker.
