SIMOTA, Carol A. - Age 74, of Fenton, died Friday, September 15, 2017. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Sunday and Monday from 1-6 PM and Tuesday at church from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home Monday at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. John the Evangelist Church or the Fenton Knights of Columbus Council #7418.
Carol was born October 3, 1942 in Detroit, the daughter of Victor and Martha (Janek) Wylston. She married James Simota November 6, 1971 in Oakland County and he preceded her in death September 10, 2016. She had resided in Fenton since 1976 coming from Southfield. Carol was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Fenton Knights of Columbus AuxiliaryCouncil #7418 and the Red Hat Society.
Surviving are: sons, Gregory and wife Debbie Simota of Holly and Donald and wife Gerri Simota of Clio; sister, Frances Gajecki of Adams, WI; numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Bobby Donnelly and Kathy Williams.
