MOOSE, SHIRLEY LILLIAN age 94, died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Maple Wood Manor. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM with the Memorial Service to begin at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd, Flushing, MI. Pastor Tommy McDoniel officiating. Shirley was born February 25, 1923 in Flint, MI to parents Charles and Hazel (Solomon) Moose. She had worked in the office and retired from Kresge Store in down town Flint. She later did data processing for St. Joseph Hospital in Flint. Shirley loved children and spent much of her time around them including providing child care. Shirley was a long time active member with the Asbury United Methodist Church in Flint and mentored many youth programs with whom she established many lifelong relationships. Surviving are sister Maxine Brown; nephews Jerry (Charlotte) Brown, Jack (Linda) Brown. Robert (Crystal) Brown; several great nieces and great-nephews and many other special friends and family. Family requests any monetary donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
