RUSCHKE, Richard Lee - of Birch Run, age 68, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Pastor Tom Dinan officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 3-8PM and on Sunday from 1-3PM. Contributions may be made to the family.
Dick was born April 30, 1944 in Flint to the late William and Viola (Ferge) Ruschke. He lived in Birch Run his entire life. Mr. Ruschke worked at Buick Plant 36 then retired from Saginaw Metal Casting in 2009 with 50 years seniority. He enjoyed old trucks, vintage cars, tractors, tinkering in his barn, traveling and was working on a Chevrolet 3100. He was also a history and civil war buff.
Surviving are: companion of 10 years, Rita Ertman; children, Wendy (Rick) Revette of Bay City, Richard (Jennifer) Ruschke of Bay City, Mark Ruschke of Caro, Mike (Kari) Ruschke of Birch Run, Ryder Ruschke of TN; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
