NEUSTEDT, Norman F. – Of Flint, age 91, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at The Oaks at Woodfield.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, Father Carl Simon officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Neustedt will be at the church from 10a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Norman was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 5, 1925, the son of Frank and Gertrude Neustedt. He came to Flint after World War II and was called back to Service for the Korean War.
He resided in Flint since 1951.
On August 9, 1947 he married Virginia in Flint.
Norman served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Third Marine Division, during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church since 1951.
He was also a life member of Flushing VFW Post #5666 and NARF Chapter 285 and did volunteer work.
Norman loved the Tigers; he and his wife loved to travel.
Mr. Neustedt was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 33 ½ years, retiring in 1980.
Surviving are loving wife of 69 years, Virginia;
daughter, Susan;
sister-in-law, Dorothy Pillen;
several beloved nieces and nephews.
