WILSON, Barbara J. - Of Durand, age 73, died Monday, November 19, 2012 with her family by her side.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am Friday, November 23, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 700 Columbia Drive, Durand, Michigan 48429,
Father Jeff Poll officiating.
Cremation will take place following the Mass. Barbara’s cremains will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery next to her husband.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
Visitation 5-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint where a Rosary will be prayed 7pm Wednesday evening. Barbara will be at the church 9:30am Friday until the time of the Mass.
Barbara was born in Flint on December 9, 1938, daughter of the late Kenneth and Marie (Spracklen) York. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Durand. She loved to garden and being with her grandchildren.
Surviving are Paul (Kathy) Wilson of Durand, Bob Wilson of Durand, Theresa (Don) Bouchard of Lawton, John (Vicki) Wilson of Flint and Karen (Steve) Walker of South Lyon;
grandchildren, Annie, Chloe, Emily, Nicole, Spencer, Allie, Meghan, Katie and Jamie;
and sister, Sister Mary Agnes “Shirley”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Wilson in 2005.
