Heyer, Charles Paul “Boomer” age 64, of Flushing, died Friday, June 14, 2024, at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2024, at Rossell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
Charles was born in Toledo, Ohio, on September 16, 1959, the son of Lawrence and Emma Jean (Lynes) Heyer. He graduated from Flushing High School in the Class of 1978 and was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who cherished hunting and fishing. Boomer's life was defined not by the passing of years, but by the abundance of friendships he cultivated. Known for his generosity, he was a loyal friend who you could always count on.
Charles is survived by his sister, Tina Heyer; several nieces and nephews; and long time and dear friend, Doug Gagne. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lawrence and Mark; and sister, Lorie.
