DOLAN, June L. - of Burton, age 92, passed away September 4, 2015 at her residence. Another great heart is still. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 5-8 PM Sunday and 1-4 PM Monday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Tuesday at church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
June was born in Flint, MI on June 4, 1923, daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Zandi) Gilbert. She married Harold Dolan, her high school sweetheart, on June 27, 1942 and he preceded her in death. June graduated from St. Mary’s of Flint. She was a founding member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and volunteered at the North End Soup Kitchen. June loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was a wonderful mother and the perfect role model. She absolutely loved her animals and she will be sadly missed by all.
June is survived by her children, Mary Beth (Chris) Henderson, Anne (Jim) Towne, Paul (Julie) Dolan, Kevin (Kimberlie) Dolan, Scott (Elizabeth) Dolan; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Marsha) Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her children, Robert and Dennis; daughter-in-law, Julie; siblings, LaVerne and Leslie.
