SKIERA, Larry L. - Of Burton, age 78, died Monday, July 29, 2024 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 1:30pm Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 10:30am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Nami National Alliance or mental illness.
Larry was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 27, 1945, the son of the late Leo and Helen (Kandow) Skiera. Larry worked side by side with his dad and brother on the Skiera Dairy Farm in Lachine, Michigan before moving to Flint to serve 40 years at the Buick Engine Plant. He was also a UAW member.
Surviving are children, Alicia Skiera, Eric (Taylor) Skiera, Amy (Nick) VanNess, Andrea (Claudia) Skiera;
Grandchildren, Emma, Izak and Lily VanNess;
Nephew and closest friend, Chad Skiera;
Brother, Ron (Jean) Skiera;
And many nieces, nephews and close friends.
