Mr. Harold Glen Sutton was born June 29, 1951 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Audrey (Patterson) Sutton. He was the 10th of sixteen children and graduated from Southwestern High School Class of “1969”. Harold worked closely with his father, Samuel Sr., to help establish Sutton & Sons construction company before being hired into Fisher Body Plant 1. He was a former member of Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church and retired from General Motors Corporation Saginaw Metal Casting Operation in Saginaw Michigan.
Harold leaves to cherish his memory: 4 sisters, Mary H. Leverette, Valerie Sutton, Sharlene Hill all of Flint, Kim R. Higginbotham of Huntsville, AL; 6 brothers Albert (Pamela) Sutton of St Louis, MO, Samuel J. Sutton, Kenneth W. Sutton, Bryan K. Sutton all of Flint, Darwin J. Sutton Sr. of New Orleans, LA and Michael A. Sutton of Tulsa, OK; aunts Juanita (Willie) Wright and Kattie (Leon) Johnson; uncles Jessie Patterson and Melvin Patterson; a host of nieces, nephews; special cousins Ernestine Davis and Gene E. Johnson, and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Sutton was preceded in death by: parents Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Audrey (Patterson) Sutton; sisters Ellistene Washington, Vera “Corine” Menifield, Brenda Sutton; brothers Lonnie G. Sutton and Leon Sutton.
