George Harry Andrejack, 83, of Houghton Lake passed away on Monday August 5, 2013 at Grayling Mercy Hospital.
George was born on April 20, 1930 in Wyandotte, Michigan to George and Gertrude(Sulin) Andrejack. George attended school at Lincoln Park and Spring Arbor, and received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Western Michigan University following his service in the Army. He served as a Sergeant Medical Technician in the Army during the Korean War. George was married on August 25, 1951 in Battle Creek to Marilyn Ruth Williams. He worked for over 30 years as an Accountant for General Motors in Swartz Creek. The couple had moved from Grand Blanc to the Houghton Lake area over 27 years ago. George was a member of Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church and enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting and fishing.
Surviving Mr. AndreJack are his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Marilyn Ruth Andrejack of Houghton Lake; daughter - Diana(John) Bigger of Clarkston; two sons - John(Marcia) Andrejack of Webberville, and Gerald(Jennifer) Andrejack of Durand; ten grandchildren; one step granddaughter; and two step great grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his parents, step mother, Maude, and brother, John.
Funeral Services for George Harry Andrejack will be conducted at 3:00 pm Friday August 9, 2013 from Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church with Rev. Bryan Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc at 11:00am on Saturday August 10, 2013. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 8, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel. Memorial Contribution in memory of George are asked to be directed to the Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church Best Years Fellowship . Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
