Molina, Dorotea - Of Grand Blanc, age 86, surrounded by her family went to heaven Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Dorotea was born in Rio Grande City, Texas on October 21, 1930.
She worked at AC Spark Plug for 42 years. Known as Grandma Linda at Tia Helita's, where she helped her daughter, and granddaughters for many years. She was the Detroit's Lions and Tigers' biggest fan, and loved the Michigan State Spartans as well. To know her was to love her, she made friends wherever she went, and left her mark on everyone she met. She lit up the entire room when she entered. A women dedicated to her faith, Dorotea was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Most important to Dorotea, next to her faith, was how much she loved her family. Her love for her children and grandchildren went above and beyond.
Surviving are daughter Sonia (Tate) Thomas; Son, Roberto (Karen) Molina; 3 granddaughters, Monica (Reed) Bobby, Mellia (Herrera) Arthur, Angela Tate; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Mellecia, Analisa, Bianca, Ava, Lily, Ali, Brendan, Anthony, Vicente, Annalicia, Alyssa, Artie; great-great-grandson, Julian; sister, Nancy Roquet; brother, Eddie Sveningsen. She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Sveningsen. Dorotea's family would like to thank the staff at Genesys Regional Medical Center for taking wonderful care of our angel.
Visitation 10am Wednesday and memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, Father Steve Anderson Officiating. Visitation 3 - 8pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
