HOULE, David Patrick – of Burton, age 46, passed away at home in his mother and father’s arms on November 4, 2014. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of David’s life will be held 5 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the David Houle Memorial Fund or the Genesys Health Foundation.
David was born in Flint, MI on February 9, 1968, son of Roger and Kathryn (Russell) Houle. He graduated from Flint Holy Rosary. David played football, baseball and his first love, basketball. He was All Catholic and All State in 1986. David has been to every State Final in basketball and football since 1979 with his family and friends. He was honored by Weight Watchers, Florine Mark for losing 200 pounds. David was in inspiration to many and his advice to help others. He recorded thousands of miles and enjoyed the Crim Races. David loved his vacations on Lake Ogemaw for over 25 years with all of his family and friends, these were the best memories. His greatest love was raising and coaching his three sons. David worked at Kroger, McDonalds and McDurmon Dist.
David is survived by his mother and father; sons, Tony (Suzanne); Christopher (Katie) and Joey; grandsons, Deacon and Ethan; granddaughter, Kennadee; brother, Christopher (Cheryl) Houle; sister, Julie Cassar; nieces, Chloe, Samantha, Emily; nephew, Peyton; special aunts and uncles; special friend, Sherry Houle. The family would like to thank his Weight Watchers family, McDonalds Family, McDurmon family and most of all the staff at Genesys Cancer and Blood Clinic.
