Anderson, Mildred M. of Flushing, age 95, died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Victoria’s House Assisted Living in Flint. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Sharp will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Mildred was born in Flint, Michigan on February 21, 1918, the daughter of George Henry and Abigail Rosetta (Apsey) Shreve. She married Charles Harold Anderson in Flint on June 25, 1937. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1997. Mildred was a beautician and enjoyed playing cards and reminiscing with family and friends. She was a long time member of Community Presbyterian Church and was a life time member of McLaren Ladies Auxiliary.
Mildred is survived by her son, Charles and wife Jan Anderson; daughter-in-law, Fran Anderson, all of Flushing; grandchildren, Sarah and husband Bo Browning of Linden and their children, Alison and Grant, Holly and husband Geoff Curtis of Grand Blanc and their sons, Colin and Ben, Chuck and wife Kim Anderson of Colorado and their children, Grace and Nate. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Gerald; and three brothers.
