PRICE, Daniel - Of Flint, age 81, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at Heartland (Briarwood) Hospice Care Center.
Funeral service will be held 10am Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Cody Mansfield of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 3-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Dan loved music and played guitar for many years. In the 60’s he played with a band called “The Dots” that played in various clubs and lounges. They also did volunteer performances for various Veterans Associations. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and going “up North” to the trailer. He taught himself the keyboard and entertained many with his music and singing (he even played outside the trailer up north so all could hear and enjoy). He was an avid woodworker and has helped many of us over the years with our “wood” projects. He loved the Lord and has been looking forward to leaving this earth to join his wife in Heaven. He will be dearly missed but we know he is in a much better place and we will join him when it is our time.
Daniel is survived by his son Larry Price and wife Laurel, his son John Price; grandchildren, Michael Newbold, Shaunette (Robert) McCracken, Crystal (Allen) Pitts, Jeremy Price; great-grandchildren, Austin (Augy), Tyler, Collin, Destini, Briana, Faythe; much loved sisters-in-law Maxine Henry and Joann Beck; son-in-law Paul Newbold; several nieces and nephews; special friend Jim Abney and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Alice, brother Sylvester, sister Rose Howell, daughter Barbara Newbold, grandson Charles Price and granddaughter, Dawn Newbold.
