EGGERT, Mary M. (Church) – Of Flint, age 88, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Allen Sudmann officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012 2-8 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 and 12 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 until the time of the service at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mary was born in Evart, Michigan on November 19, 1923, the daughter of the late Alex and Etta Mae Church. Mary married Sherman Eggert on September 28, 1946 in Evart, Michigan. Mary was a bus driver for the Grand Blanc School system for many years. Surviving are six children, Mervin and wife Denise of Flushing, Donald and wife Catherine of Waterford, Janice and husband Dale Barkman of Grand Blanc Township, Bonnie and husband James Buck of Brighton, Patricia Eggert and Tom Primeau of Swartz Creek, Roger and wife Carrie of Grand Blanc; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Irma Eggert of Grand Rapids, Dorothy Shock of Sears, MI and Ada Draper of Tustin, MI; brother, Arnold and wife Ruth Church of Evart, MI; brother-in-law, Ralph and wife Genevieve Eggert of Flint; two sisters-in-law, Wava Walters of Evart and Seresta Stuart of Chicago; several nieces, nephews and beloved dog, Tippy II.
