FINLEY, Martha Jean - Of Montrose, age 84, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Daryl L. Taylor officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 6-8pm Sunday and 12-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Martha was born in Paragould, Arkansas on February 11, 1928, the daughter of the late Cecil and Lena (Nesler) Cagle. On December 6, 1958, she married Charles Nelson “Pete” Finley and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2007. Martha loved both going on casino trips and her constant companion, Sofee.
Surviving are daughter, Debra Matznick of Durand;
sons, Keith and wife Melody Hatch of Grand Blanc, Kenneth and wife Dolly Hatch of Texas;
6 grandchildren;
4 great-grandchildren;
sister, Rhu-Donna Gallock;
brother, Cecil and wife Pat Cagle;
also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Pete”, daughter, Terri Finley, sister, Patsy Gayle Cagle and her first husband, Paul Hatch.
