Vasquez Sr., Ruben - of Burton, age 79, passed away on Palm Sunday, April 5th, 2020 at his residence. Cremation has taken place. Due to the Covid-19 crisis a Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. This will be announced in the Flint Journal and on Facebook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities.
Ruben was born October 16, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas. The only child of Jose and Elvira Vasquez.
Ruben is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marita Campeau-Vasquez; 4 daughters, Kimberly Vasquez, Kerri Vasquez, Carmen Beaudoin (Daniel), Candice Vasquez (Mark Upchurch), his only son, Ruben Vasquez II and favorite daughter-in-law, Teresa Guerra Vasquez; brother, Robert L. Campeau Sr.; 22 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; 3 nephews and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his Parents Jose and Elvira Vasquez and oldest daughter Cathy Jo Vasquez-Ramirez.
