HEADRICK, Harry Duane - of Flint, age 89 years young, loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Flint, Michigan. Memorial services will be held at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan at 12 noon Monday, November 14, 2016 with Rev. Dave Hintz officiating. Military honors follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan at 2:00 p.m. Monday. Visitation 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Monday at the funeral home. Harry was born September 25, 1927 in Bernie, Missouri. Harry married Helen Stafford on July 23, 1949 and she preceded him in death on August 2, 2009 after 60 years of faithful marriage. He was a loving father of four children, Gary (Mary Jane), Linda (Stewart) Barnes-Bernard, Blair (Sandra Marie), and Dana (Eric) Burger-Dipzinski, and was a devoted grandfather to Aaron, Ryan, Andrea, Chad, Samantha, Maddison, Chris, and Ashly. He was also a warm hearted great-grandfather to Kristina, Tyler, Kristin Abigail, Cole, Patience, Camdin, Aiden, Austin, Collin, and Caleb. Also surviving is his sister, Norma Millette. Mr. Headrick was also preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Whitaker. Harry most relished spending time with his family, and was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during World War II. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and boating on Burt Lake. Harry was a long standing member of Central/Community Christian Church and lately attended the Church of the Nazarene. His infectious smile and warmest consideration of others will be greatly missed, and his memory will be carried in our hearts forever.
