CUMMINGS, Joseph Daniel – of Genesee Township, age 71, passed away March 3, 2015 at home. A Funeral Service, with Military Honors, will be held 1 PM Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Mike Warren officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Friday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Joseph was born in Mahan, WV on August 9, 1943, son of the late John and Elizabeth (McNamee) Cummings. He married Vickie Hawkins on May 23, 1964.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Vickie; brothers, John William (Violet), Thomas Roy; sisters, Carole Mansfield, Marion (Mick) Brown, Pamela (Tim) Hawthorn; sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Thomas) Kehoe, Nancy (Gordon) Oberman, Jill Hawkins; several nieces and nephews. Joe and Vickie’s loving bond they shared with Trent brought such joy to Joe.
