SMITH, Carey D. "Crazy Crab"- age 63, of Fenton, passed away December 6, 2018. Funeral Service will be 2 PM Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Allan Owens officiating. Visitation 2PM-8PM Saturday and 1PM until time of service Sunday. Graveside service 11AM Monday, December 10, 2018 at Tyrone Memory Gardens Cemetery 10260 White Lake Rd., Fenton. Memorial contributions may be offered to the family. Carey was born June 22, 1955 in Flint the son of Paul and Patsy (McGehee) Smith. He graduated from Linden High School. He Married Malea Stinnett in Knoxville, TN on September 22, 1982. Carey was employed as a Truck Driver and retired from Jack Cooper Transportation after 28 years of service. He was a member of the Teamsters. Carey was a member of the River Church in Holly, the Fenton FOE and The Fenton Moose Lodge. He was an avid Pool player, he enjoyed boating, and visiting the Silver Lake Sand Dunes.Carey was a huge NASCAR and HHRA fan. Surviving are: wife, Malea, children, Derrick (Tina) Smith, Carl (Shanon) Smith, Samantha (Jeremy) Kelley; grandchildren, Adan, Gavin, Mason, Fiona, Ardan, and Lola; siblings, Chris (Bev) Smith, Pam (Roy) Raymond, and Paula Smith; several nieces and nephews; and "Rylee" the family dog.
