WARDWELL, CLARENCE “LYNN” – age 57 of Farwell, passed away after a long battle with cancer at the University of Michigan Hospital on Thursday, November 10, 2011. Friends may visit at the Hansen Funeral Home, 421 N. Main in Davison, from 3 to 8 PM on Saturday. Visitation will continue at the Campbell – Stocking Family Funeral Home in Farwell on Sunday from 2 to 8 PM, and on Monday from 11 AM until 1 PM. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Monday from the Campbell – Stocking Family Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate with burial following in Gilmore Township Cemetery.
Lynn was born on December 19, 1953 the son of Clarence Albert “Brownie” and Mary Margaret (Allbee) Wardwell in Killeen TX. He attended Hamady High School (1972), played drums in the bands, Ghost Riders, Country Roads, and Bottom Line. Lynn retired from Chevy Truck and Bus in 2005, and was a member of UAW 598, Clare Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the American Rabbit Breeders Association. He loved spending time with his family and also his rabbits.
Lynn leaves to cherish his memory: 5 daughters, Andrea Wardwell of Flint, Melissa Wardwell (Danny Stebbins) of Otter Lake, Kimberly and husband Brandon Hallenbeck of Mt. Morris, Jillian and husband Chad Ghantous of Swartz Creek, and Jacquelyn Gallagher of Mt. Pleasant; 3 grandchildren, Christian, Caleb, and Briana; 2 brothers, Tim Wardwell and wife Pattie of Farwell, and Gary Wardwell (Priscilla Lacy) of Albright Shores; 2 sisters Becky Zimmerman of Mt. Morris, and Tammy and husband Jeff Leatz of Mt. Pleasant; his fiancé Amy Meixner Hinton; numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
