Bruce William Ferguson, age 61, died peacefully at his home, on Thursday, September 19, 2019, while surrounded by his family and loved ones. Bruce was born in Flint, Michigan, November 19, 1957. While attending Flint Northern Highschool, at the age of 16, he became an Eagle Scout. After graduating from Mott Community College with an Associates in business, he worked as an industrial salesman through PT Standard and Hubbard Hardware, before retiring from Grand Blanc Schools Transportation after 15 years. Bruce married Holly Jean Scott on May 1, 1982, and they had two girls. Besides spending time with family and friends, he loved spending his summers up north at Beaver Lake. Surviving are: daughters, Stacy (Nick) Lewis and Stephanie (James) Heyworth; parents, Edmund and Marcia Ferguson; brother, Harold (Karen) Ferguson; sister, Sharon (Bill) Mortimer; grandchildren, Mason and Marlie Heyworth, and Railynn Lewis; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Holly S. Ferguson, on December 22, 1990. Visitation will be held 2 PM Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Grand Blanc United Methodist Church, 515 Bush Ave., Grand Blanc, followed by a Memorial Service at 3 PM. Ph.D. Pastor Julius Del Pino and Pastor Roger L. Colby officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grand Blanc United Methodist Church or University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center. |
