VanAmburg, Helen Louise – Of Grand Blanc, age 93, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Maurice R. Horne officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lincoln Park Methodist Church.
Visitation 11 a.m. Sunday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Helen was born in Flint, MI, the daughter of Peter and Margaret (Campbell) Jager and was a resident of Grand Blanc, Michigan.
On June 13, 1941 she married Paul VanAmburg in Flushing, Michigan.
She was a member of Lincoln Park Methodist Church.
She loved bowling, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and was a volunteer at the American Cancer Society for 40 years.
Mrs. VanAmburg was employed by Chevrolet for 10 years.
Surviving are daughter, Sharon and husband Doug Little;
son, Danny and wife Lynn VanAmburg;
six grandchildren;
13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband of 66 years, Paul; parents; brother, Paul Jager; sister-in-law, Vivian Jager; sister, Evelyn Cummings and great-grandson, Rob Hinger.
