PEARISO, Richard – of Davison, MI, age 89, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020. Richard will be laid to rest in St. John Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ascension at Home Hospice, 5445 Ali Dr., Dept. 600, Grand Blanc, MI 48439-9933, in Richard’s memory.
Richard was born in Karlin, MI on December 22, 1930, son of the late John Earl and Marjorie Marie Peariso. He married Joyce Eileen VanWoert on December 14,1950.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Eileen; 8 children, John, Joseph (Amy),James (Kay) , Jeffrey (Mary), Jerome (Deanna), Jeanette (James) Kurnik, Jennifer (James) Szumowicz, Jason; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Roderick (Lavearn), baby brother William and two sisters, Charlotte Nichols and Doris Martin.
He served 5 years in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
After he left the Navy he worked for Buick Motor Division for 35 ½ years retiring in 1988. He and Eileen traveled the United States going to all but 2 of the lower 48 states. He enjoyed many hobbies including golf, model aviation, model railroads, sailing, and woodworking. If you ever needed anything fixed he was the one to call. He was a lot of peoples “Go to Guy”. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
