Elizabeth M. Wright, age 83 of Grand Blanc, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017. She was born on December 14, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents David and Beulah (Satchell) Braun. Elizabeth raised all four of her daughters and then decided to go back to school become a Registered Nurse. She was a member at Holy Family Catholic Church and was involved in their 55 and over group, she also volunteered with FISH. She enjoyed many things like doing cross-stitch, reading, traveling, golfing, cooking, and spending time with her family. Elizabeth will be remembered most for her loving personality. She never knew a stranger, and she was often seen wearing a button that read “Free Hugs,” which worked quite well! Elizabeth is survived by her daughters: Barbara (Richard) Shaffer, Constance (Lonnie Cantrell) Wright, Joyce (David Howell) Schmidt, and Monica (Roy) Aulph; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Robert Wright; granddaughter, Christina Schmidt; four siblings. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, the family will receive visitors one hour prior to Mass, beginning at 9:30am. Monsignor Jerry Vincke celebrating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 12-5pm at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, with a Rosary Service at 4pm. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. |
